Club President – Dave Hanlon

Club President as of June 2023. Dave has been a member of the Hawks since 1991 and a life member since 2017. Dave started with road and cross country racing in the 80’s before moving to hill racing in 1992. Dave still runs and still hopes to compete but injuries get in the way! He also plays tennis, golf, table tennis and as of last month – pickleball! 
Dave is a qualified endurance official; is VP of the East League (XC) and is the Health and Safety Representative for Scottish Athletics Officials Commission. 
Dave also organises SA district and national cross country events on behalf of the club. 

Vice-President: Robert Mckahey

Robert has been involved with the club since early 2023 when his daughter joined. Previously a sprinter, he now enjoys middle distance running and is looking forward to helping the club in his role as Vice President.

Secretary: Louise Mcgregor

Louise has three Children. Her son Matthew loves running for the Club. Louise also runs for her health, safety and engineering business and in her spare time she is a puppy raiser for the Guide Dogs. Louise is looking forward to supporting the club in her new role.

Treasurer – Rachel Inatimi

Rachel became involved in the club as a parent when her daughter joined 2 years ago. Rachel is the accounts assistant for a local charity that works with young people in Dundee.
She enjoys taking her dog for long walks and doing crochet.

Membership – Gordon Barrie

Gordon first started running competitively in 1984. Gordon has been involved with the Hawks since 1991, competing on the track, road, and cross country. He currently compete as a Master’s athlete, with some success in winning Scottish Master’s titles and has also represented Scotland as a Master’s runner. Gordon currently hold a few Hawks Club Records too! 

This is Gordons second time on the Hawks Committee in the past, both as Membership Secretary and Senior Rep, and was keen to help the Club again in a role other than being an Athlete. Gordon looks forward to taking on the role of Membership Secretary again.

Paula Faccenda

Club Development Officer and community coach

Amy Mollison – Amy joined the Hawks back in 2008 when she was nine years old. She is a qualified level 2 coach working with the Mini Hawks programme. Amy graduated from Abertay University in 2021 with a degree in Sports Coaching. As the club development officer and community coach, Amy is responsible for increasing participation in community-based athletics, reducing the membership waiting list, and creating new opportunities for athletes and coaches alike within the club. Amy is keen to communicate with all club members in relation to her role.

Social Media

Shania King – Shania joined the club in 2014 and competes in middle-distance events on the track and cross country. Along with being a competitive athlete, she is involved in the development of the younger athletes as a qualified level 2 coach with Mini Hawks. Shania is an active member of the club and joined the committee as a junior representative in 2019 and is looking forward to taking on a bigger role.
Callum McCormack – A middle-distance runner focusing on the 800m, Callum has competed across a range of championship and team meets since joining the club back in 2014 and enjoys a variety of disciplines including cross country as well as track. In addition to his role on the communications team, Callum is vice president of the Caird Park Community Sports Hub and is a qualified level 2 coach working with the Mini Hawks programme.

Connor letham – Connor is a level 2 qualified coach within the SkyHawks group, focusing on throws. Connor’s background in software will be invaluable when it comes to advising the club on technology and IT.

Fundrasing team

Tracey Passway – Training with the intermediate group, Tracey competes in cross country for the club, as well as 10k races and half marathons throughout the year (Glen Clova is her favourite). Tracey is also a member of a triathlon club and has competed in triathlon races. She enjoys exercising and runs to keep fit and keep up with her husband and kids! Tracey brings her knowledge of organising some DHH social events, as well as professional experience from her role in “clinical governance” for the NHS.
Gareth Irons – Gareth joined the Hawks in 2014 after seeing the vests at local races. He was signed up to the Devil’s Burden team event after his first training session. Gareth competes in marathon events (and has even finished some!). His highlight of the year is the annual trip to London for the London Marathon and he hopes to make it to more marathons, both at home and abroad, in the future.

Team Manager – Kerry Mann

Kerry, a junior and senior athlete specialising in 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, is a level 2 qualified coach with the SkyHawks group and Mini Hawks programme. As an athlete, Kerry is notorious for pushing herself and is a very fun, outgoing coach who is always keen to join in.

Senior Representative – Catherine Mattews

A member of the club for over 10 years, competing in over 160 races in road, hill, and cross country, Catherine has been the senior representative since 2018. She became a level 1 coaching assistant in 2017: the same year she co-established the intermediate training group.

Junior Representative – Iona Esslemont

Iona is a sprinter focusing on the 400m and, previously, the 300m. Elsewhere, Iona is a qualified lifeguard and works at a local sports centre. She is passionate about the fun element of athletics and competing. She completed her level 1 coaching assistant course in 2021.

Junior Representative – Archie Yeaman

Archie joined the Hawks in 2017 and has competed in various individual and team meets over a range of disciplines in that time. He completed his level 1 coaching assistant course in 2021.

Parent Representative – Angela Lorimer

Angela has been a parent helper since 2016 after her daughter joined the club in 2014. She is also a Level 2 field official.
